The Who story is told via almost 700 eyewitness accounts of more than 380 concerts. Playing first as The Detours, Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend and John Entwistle were joined in 1964 by drummer Keith Moon. The Who attracted headlines for smashing up guitars and hotel rooms and came to epitomise the 1960s Mod scene and then one of Britain’s top chart acts (with 14 Top Ten hits) and going on to conquer the world via mammoth tours and headline-making appearances at the Monterey, Woodstock and Isle of Wight festivals.
